WARNING: Risk of burns! Only perform these tasks after exhaust system
has cooled down.
Necessary preliminary work
Remove rear UNDERBODY PROTECTION
F03 Only:
Remove underbody protection on left and right
Support front silencer with special tool 31 2 220 and a suitable universal
lifter.
Leak Detection With Ultraviolet Additives (UV Additives) (BMW Leak-Testing
Case)
IMPORTANT: The UV leakage detection procedure is not permitted in EU
countries!
Observe national regulations in all other countries!
